Concept Cars Shape the Market

Concept Cars Shape the Market

Concept cars are not a new concept in American cars. General Motors start using the practice of concept cars in the 1950′s from the advice of Harley Earl. That might have been the first time a concept car was used but definitely not the last. Future concept cars will gather many magazines and their readers to speculate in the months waiting for their arrival. The Detroit Motor Show every year is where many concept car designs are unleashed year in and year out. This can form a high level of anticipation before the concept car is even shown. With this buzz they can use the momentum to ride a productive release. One thing about these concept cars that has not changed over the years is that they face many changes before being released. On the release of each concept car they will most often come with new technologies and a futuristic design. At the actual release many times many of these features will not make it. This can be to keep costs down or maybe they do not iron out all the bugs in the technology yet. This is no way hampers down the momentum of a good release. Take the Honda Insight and its concept designs as it was about to be released in 1999. After the concept car was released it was enough to put these cars on a waiting list in Europe for their release. As the price in gas started changing these cars became popular in the states also. As they were ready to release a new version in 2009 they again first released the concept car. With concept cars companies are able to tell if a new car will be successful. If the public does not like a new concept car design often times the car will never make it to production. Using this tool car companies can save themselves millions of dollars. Many times these future concept cars will be shown in only mold form being either plastic or clay and never actually built for a variety of reasons. What we do know is that these creative cars and their influence on auto cars will never go away.To Find out More about Concept Cars and Future Concept Cars Visit Creative Concept Cars
